BSF Member Schools

Black Student Fund, a nonprofit organization, works directly with carefully selected independent schools located in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Member Schools are fully accredited institutions, which are members of, but not limited to, NAIS, AIMS, VAIS and IE. BSF works with schools whose African-American student population is not greater than 30 %. These institutions demonstrate a commitment to provide challenging educational opportunities and to build equitable learning environments for all students of many economic, cultural and racial backgrounds. Programs and services are awarded to African-American students attending Black Student Fund Member Schools. BSF reviews each Member School annually for compliance with our specific criteria to grant continued membership.

Charter schools currently are not eligible to apply for membership; however, Charter Schools may have access to specific services and programs via a fee-based structure.
