Black Student Fund’s Education Employment Network (EEN) is an employment referral program designed to increase administrator and teacher diversity in independent schools. By identifying and matching candidates and schools, EEN provides an outstanding applicant pool from which Member Schools may hire African American professionals and those from traditionally underrepresented groups. Schools post current employment and career opportunities with EEN in order to facilitate the recruitment and hiring processes. The key components of EEN are:
EEN Application Candidate Information Education Employment Network seeks individuals in a variety of disciplines. Candidates must possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and have experience working with children in a school, camp or afterschool setting. Professionals are needed at all grade levels, pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Candidates who have experience with or interest in participating in extracurricular activities are given additional consideration. Teacher certification is generally not required for independent schools, however, schools often seek individuals who, in addition to teaching and/or administrative responsibilities, can coach a sport, advise a club or student activity, or make an additional contribution to the school community.
