Position: Program Director
Reporting to
the Executive Director, the Program Director will have a leadership role in both
the internal and external affairs of the Black Student Fund focusing on issues
related to the Fund’s current students, the budget, human resources, outreach
program and development. Specifically, the Program Director will: supervise the
student advisors, implement a comprehensive 4-year college preparation program,
manage the Crisis Fund, oversee the Bishop Walker Scholarship program, serve as
an advocate, assist in the development of the budget, direct the Annual School
Fair, administer the summer camp program, handle the development of the Fact
Book, participate in outreach/referral activities, work with the School
Committee of the Board, and support fundraising efforts.
The ideal
candidate will have 20 plus years experience in education with knowledge of
independent schools in the Greater Washington, DC area, a background in
counseling/psychology or other related field, excellent people skills, knowledge
of the college counseling process, experience with financial management
responsibilities and a proven record as a manager.
