To make our resources more easily accessible to the public, the Fund holds an Annual
School Fair; the oldest and largest in the nation. Begun in 1964, the Fair has become the
model for others who hold similar events across the country. In recent years, the BSF
School Fair has attracted over five thousand people from the Washington, DC, Maryland, and
Virginia areas seeking information on independent schools and the opportunity to talk with
admissions and financial aid directors. The date for the Fall 2007 School Fair
is Sunday, November 11, from 12 noon to 3 pm. The School Fair is held at the Washington Convention
Center. Representatives from 60 schools will be available to answer your
questions; admission is free.
The date for the 2007 Black Student Fund Virginia School Fair
has yet to be determined at this time.
Both School Fairs give parents and caregivers an opportunity to meet with
representatives from BSF Independent Member
Schools in the Washington metropolitan area, as well as from several East Coast
boarding schools. The Fair provides families with information about independent school
education and financial aid options. |
