Annual BSF College Transition Workshop Navigating the Jump: Your Blueprint for College Transition Success

June 15, 2026

Stepping from high school into higher education is a massive milestone. First year college students need guidance on what to think about and what to learn as they transition. To guide students, the Black Student Fund—a premier academic excellence organization—ishosting its highly anticipated annual workshop. The workshop will feature: College Academics, CollegeResources, First-Year College to Career Planning, and Campus Culture.

This essential session is part of our larger, ongoing program efforts to empower students, close educational gaps, and cultivate future leaders. Led by expert presenter Leroy Nesbitt, this interactive workshop is designed specifically for 2026 high school graduates.  The session features students learning about these topics as they are manifested at the colleges they will attend. Students will develop in-depth knowledge about their college via a deep dive into the college’s website and social media. Students will spend much of the time online learning what cannot be learned in the college admissions process. Students will produce a personal success roadmap to be used during college orientation. The 2.5-hourworkshop will help bridge the gap between high school and university life, giving you a concrete, personalized blueprint for first year success.
