BSF Scholar's Community Impact

Lightview Cooperative Food PantryJermaine Drakes Jr. who is a BSF scholar is spearheading the effort to feed 25-30 seniors for the monthof April 2023 at Lightview Cooperative located at Georgia and Van Buren in Washington DC. As of April12, he has reached seven seniors.Jermaine’s goal is to impact 25-30 seniors a month over the next few months. Roughly, eighty fivepercent of those are seniors who are long term residents of the facility.Jermaine is working with the cooperative to store and distribute food. Jermaine has already distributedfood to seven seniors and will be distributing food for an hour or two April 16 th and 17 th , 2023
